The volunteers returned to the conservation and woodland management sessions with the new Forest Futures project funded by the National Lottery. Just like they had never been away, they got stuck in with quick and efficient work – picking up 4 bags worth of litter from the entrance to ten acres, widening the cartland rd woodland entrance to push back the brambles once more and opening up the view of the river from the park side pathway at the cartland road entrance. The two sessions had a break inbetween with a hot cuppa around volunteer basecamp1 in the woods and said hello to the gardening group before they departed.
